From the wedding of Miss Sally Carroll and Captain Charles Griffin attended by President and Mrs. Lincoln to the nuptials of newly-commissioned Foreign Service Officers heading out to their first post, the DACOR Bacon House has been a favored location for new couples beginning their lives together.

Built in 1825, the four-story mansion a thte corner of 18th and F Streets, sits in the heart of FEderal Washington and offers an inteimate setting for weddings. Located just two blocks from the White House,we provide options unparalleled in what is fondly referred to as "the President's Neighborhood." With spacious and graceful reception rooms and a half-acre garden, the possibilities include indoor and outdoor cermonies, cocktail receptions, dinners, dancing and more.

DACOR Bacon House offers full catering capabilities led by our executive chef, and front of house manager. However, if your heart is set on using an outside catering service we can also fit your rental to accommodate your needs. The House offers options for special order linens, indoor or outdoor dance floors, and live music including the use of our Steinway grand piano. Our staff will work with you to arrange all the details so that you can truly enjoy your wedding day.
