Graduate Fellowships for Study of International Relations
Each year DACOR offers graduate fellowships for study toward a Masters Degree in international relations. These are $12,500 grants toward tuition. The fellowships are for U.S. citizens, and the winners can use the fellowship for study at any accredited graduate school in the United States. Each year DACOR invites up to ten schools around the country to participate.
How to apply:
Individual applications should not be submitted directly to DACOR. Each school advertises the program and, based on merit, nominates three candidates. The DACOR Education Committee interviews the nominees and selects one winner from each participating school. If the participating school has an undergraduate program, it would nominate seniors who intend to enroll in graduate school the next academic year. If the participating school is a graduate school, it would nominate first year graduate students who would use the award to help with their second year of graduate work. The DACOR Education Committee does not require that nominees plan a career in the Foreign Service, although it looks with favor upon a career objective of government service.
