WHAT IS DACOR?
___________________________________________________
 |
Diplomatic and
Consular Officers, Retired (DACOR) membership
comprises retired, former, and active duty Foreign Service Officers and
others who have served at home or abroad in positions related to the conduct
of foreign affairs, and their spouses.
|
 |
DACOR offers
educational and cultural opportunities through monthly lectures on
diplomatic and cultural topics, graduate student seminars, musical
presentations, a major annual foreign policy conference, and an excellent
foreign affairs library.
|
 |
DACOR conducts
advocacy programs for a strong, professional Foreign Service and for an
active American leadership role in the world of the 21st century.
|
 |
DACOR Bacon House
provides a place to maintain and renew friendships, to remember and
celebrate shared lives in distant places, and to meet younger officers as
they begin their careers.
|
 |
DACOR
and the DACOR Bacon House Foundation are philanthropic organizations
which provide educational scholarships and support like-minded institutions
pursuing the history and conduct of American diplomacy and assisting members
of the Foreign Service family who have financial or personal problems.
